New month, new crisis. This will help

What a difference a month can make. 

This time last month I was at a networking event in Bali, where I had been living for three months. 

Fast forward to today and I’m writing this from my home office in Donegal. I returned home a week last Friday because with all this uncertainty, home felt like the best bet for me and my business. 

It’s undeniable: It’s the first of a new month, and the middle of a crisis and possibly the start of a whole new era. 

Is it business as usual out there? Definitely not. But business is still being done. 

I have enrolled 5 amazing new clients in the last couple of weeks. Even though everything feels like it’s going to hell in a handbasket. 

People still need help, now more than ever. 

And I want to share with you what’s working for me right now to inspire you to keep enrolling clients from wherever you are. Because making sales and cash flow is the backbone of our businesses right? 

So we’ve got work to do. 

Firstly it’s important to meet people where they are right now. You must be more concerned with what the person you’re talking to needs right there and then, and not with what you have to offer, i.e. your packages and programs. 

People need solutions faster than ever because, let’s be honest, things are moving super fast. 

Second, I have been laser focused on what is in it for them in fine detail, how they will directly benefit from any work we do together. 

This has taken more time than usual, but it’s been so impactful. Spend time really digging into the specific results your potential clients can [NOTE: experience so they can see ahead, and that “ahead” looks way more fruitful with your help. 

If you’re not taking the time to really lay out a vision for how investing in work with you can come back to them either emotionally or tangibly i.e. clients and profit, you’re going to struggle to inspire people to invest with you. And then nobody wins. 

Third, I have been framing my offers so they can see exactly how this can pay for itself, ten-plus times over. Client by client. People need to ‘see’ more than ever how any investment they make is coming back to them and in what time frame. This is super important. 

Problem is most entrepreneurs don’t really lay this out, because they’re afraid that talking about results is the same as guaranteeing them, so they hide in the details. 

I know it’s tough times right now, but it will be tougher if you’re not selling, and not in action right now. Always remember that what you’re doing now is going to really impact your business three months from now. And three months from now, please God, we’ll be in recovery from this. 

Don’t wait till then to start enrolling the clients who need you. Do it now.
