One of the biggest problems I see with entrepreneurs is that they spend way too much time hiding behind their computers, sending emails and messages. Not that those aren’t important parts of being in business – they are – its just that showing up in person – eyeball to eyeball is the fastest way to get your business to 6 figures and beyond. And here’s why.

I’m writing this from Nashville, Tennessee. I’ve been here at an event with Jay Fiset.

Have you heard of Jay? If not, check him out. He’s a very successful entrepreneur, business strategist, speaker and best selling author from Canada. The event was called Jvology, and all about how to use joint ventures to exponentially grow your business. Make it a point of going to one these events. It was an incredible experience and I got way more than I bargained for. I’m so glad I made the journey and the investment to be there.

I had two reasons for coming.

One – I wanted to learn about joint ventures and experience Jay Fiset in person, at his own event. I first saw him speak at Suzanne Evans’ event in Orlando — Driven — last year. Another amazing event.

And two – Jay is on a dream-list of people I want for a really cool event I’m hosting next month – which is free and online – and you’re going to hear all about it really soon. I’ve never done this before, and it’s going to be very exciting.

So, before coming to Nashville – I sent him an email, because this is what entrepreneurs do, right? They come up with a great idea because they want to do something big in the world, and then they send an email about it, or they send a message. And then what happens is they get no response, so they give up. And this is what I mean by hiding behind your computer to try and grow your business.

Anyway – the email I sent to Jay didn’t get the response I wanted. I imagine this mans inbox is flooded with invites and requests. So, I thought “how can I make this happen“. So I came up with this idea that I would come to his event in Nashville and ask him to a part of my event – in person.

I invested in the ticket, got on a plane and spent three days with really amazing entrepreneurs. I learned a ton about joint ventures and speaking and made LOTS of new connections. And got to experience Nashville.

And. It gets better.

At the end of the event, I walked up to Jay to tell him how amazing I thought his event was, and him, and his team, the content, the joint venture community he’s cultivating, absolutely everything was just incredible. And I thanked him and then said that I had sent him an email and it was in his inbox.

He asked what it was about – I explained I was having this really cool online event, and what it was all about and why I was doing it. And then asked him if he would be up for being part of it, and he said YES!

He graciously accepted, and I’m super-excited because he was literally on my dream list of people for this event.

So, here’s the thing, this would never have happened if I was sitting at home hiding behind my computer, trying to figure out what I could have said better or didn’t say in that email.

And I think this is one of the biggest problems entrepreneurs have – you’re spending all your time in front of your computers, and you’re not doing anything. You’re doing half as much as you could be doing to make the sales you want, enrolling the clients you want, making the deals that you want, and having the impact you want.

You’re thinking your business is going to grow by email and messages and spending all this time online learning complicated tactics, and there is a place for that in your business, but it’s not the place if you’re not making your first 10k a month yet.

And that’s what I really help entrepreneurs do. Because it’s keeping you small, it’s keeping your client base small and your bank account and possibly your life – empty! If you’re failing to make the income you want in business, in my opinion, that’s failing in business.

It doesn’t have to be that way…. Showing up in person and making real connections is the fastest way to grow your business, and you can start doing it more now. And the best about it, you’re likely a lot better at showing up in person and being yourself, than spending hours trying to work out complicated and tactical strategies online.

When you show up in person – you have a way bigger impact and you always get more than you bargained for. Especially if you’re like me, and are willing to do whatever it takes to have a successful, profitable, impactful business. No. Matter. What.

Getting out from behind your computer, starting conversations in person, getting on planes and doing really unreasonable things is the fastest way to do to do it. It’s also how you make personal connections with other business owners and build great relationships, great partnerships.

In my opinion and experience of going from being in debt to closing half a million in sales last year alone, this is the fastest way to grow your business to your first 6 figures and beyond.

So if you’re hiding and you’re not making the income you want or the impact, and you haven’t had your first 10k month yet because you don’t know how you would do that, you can email me anytime at Moira@mng.ie I will lay out a plan for you that will help you get there at record speed, if you’re driven, and ready to work. Like me.

But more than that – watch out for what’s coming from in the next 4 weeks. It is one of the most exciting things I’ve done yet!

So, bye from Nashville.
